Sign up for a Historic Graffiti workshop for Home Eduction families.
This is a free workshop.
Funded by The Heritage Lottery as part of the Flamstead Heritage project.
12/5/25 & 23/6/25 // 10am-2.00pm // St Leonard’s Church, Flamstead, St Albans, AL3 8BS
Learn about historic graffiti on the walls and pillars at St Leonard’s Church and make your own graffiti art to take home!
A practical workshop where students will learn about what graffiti is, who did it hundreds of years ago and how we know about it today. Students will explore the Church on a graffiti hunt and learn about why these marks were made, who made them and what they were saying.
“It was an amazing day - thank you so much for hosting us! The children loved it!”
We have run these workshops for the Heritage Lottery and Flamstead Heritage project for nearly 2 years and they have been a huge success.
Children have access to our beautiful church and its story, learning about a unique and socially important style of art in its graffiti. Without the usual rules and restrictions! We can talk, explore and be creative.

This is aimed at any students from 4-16 years and there may be a wide range of ages attending on the day.
